Opened in 2014 by Dr Franz Strydom, Skinspots is a dedicated Skin Cancer Clinic. All our doctors and nurses undertake skin cancer screening. Both doctors and nurses have achieved a minimum of advanced diploma level training by the Skin Cancer College of Australasia to do skin checks. We use three different proven modalities of finding skin cancers. A clinical skin check is combined with mole mapping and full-body photography, all done at the same appointment. When it comes to choosing the right therapy we have some of the most experienced skin cancer doctors in the country. Working as a team we ensure that we deliver the best treatment for each patient, whether it be monitoring, surgery or where, appropriate topical treatment.  All clinical staff have undertaken advanced post-graduate training in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers. A plastic surgeon provides support and undertakes advanced surgeries as well as cosmetic surgical procedures. This means we can provide a full range of services at Skinspots, ranging from skin checks to any skin cancer surgery that does not require a general anaesthetic. Skinspots is an independently accredited day stay unit.
